What Is A Book

Question: What is a book?

A book is an idea that you can see your own way. A book poses many traits and things that everyone can interpret their own way. Specific traits a book can possess are basic things like an idea, an entertaining story. I agree with Joe Meno and what he says about books being a place because it doesn’t matter if you read on an IPad or a kindle or a actual book. I also agree on how he states that eBooks are just variations conforming to our ever expanding society. I don’t agree with Nancy Jo Sales because why does it matter if I can feel the book and smell it? I can get over hundreds of books on my IPad and keep them on there I don’t think I could carry that many books around at once. I don’t think that there is something magical about a book I think you yourself make the book magical not what you read it on its just a different device on which to read.

Question: Does it matter how you read a book

To me  it has no effect on what I read a book on because I used to only read books Real books until about eight grade when my mom begged me to change from reading books to reading on a kindle and finally I decided to start using a kindle and what do you Know I loved it!!!!!! From that day I still read on a kindle or my IPad. I don’t really think that it matters to me anymore it’s just whatever is the most convenient for me. I say that because I have a Unlimited amount of books I could get on my IPad but only a limited number of actual books because of their weight.

  1. I like this idea: "you yourself make the book magical not." I agree that it's all about the reader's experience, whether physical or digital. Good points about the convenience of Kindle reading.

  2. I don't agree with the idea of the physicality of the book doesn't matter, but I can see where you are coming from. You like the content and the device does not matter as long as the content is what you want and is the same. I think whether you read from a physical book or a technologic device is your choice. I believe physical copy of the book can affect how you interpret the context because it can make you think one thing based on how it looks, feels, smells etc. vs. a digital copy just basically looks the same all the time and I think it is better not to be bias in that way.
